Hand guard is 6063 extruded aluminum

• Anodizing is class 2 type 3 hardcoat in accordance with MIL-A-8625
• CNC machined to exacting tolerances for maximum weight removal
• MLOKS are machined to Magpul technical data package specs
• Picatinny rails meet MIL-STD 1913 specs
• Barrel nut is 4140 pre-heat treated steel
• CNC machined to exacting tolerances for maximum weight removal
• We recommend no more than 50 ft. lbs. of torque
• Since gas tube timing is a non-issue, 50 ft. lbs. is ample torque
• Melonited finish otherwise known as black nitride
• Hardware is 18-8 stainless steel with a black oxide finish
• We recommend no more than 35 inch lbs. of torque
